Annual Events

NUTS has two large events we organise every year; the Night of English Literature (NoEL) and Poetry and Music Night. During NOEL, English students can get nice and cozy at a popular bookstore in Groningen, while listening to our professors give a short talk (or excited rant) about their favorite literary works. Previous talks have discussed the theme ‘Evil, and its End’ in a graphic novel by Aimée de Jongh, the adventures of King Arthur and Mordred, and included an on the spot exorcism of a witch. We highly recommend you attend the event if you are a fellow booklover, as you can buy books with a 10% discount throughout the night!

Poetry and Music Night is created by and for the creative NUTSies among us. You can perform a poem, play an instrument, or just enjoy others doing so. Of course, performances by our professors and the board will ensure that it will be a night to remember.
