Dear NUTSies,

For those ordering books for both courses LEL008P05 English Literature from 1550 and LEL007P05 English Literature until 1550, do note that the book needed for the second course is already included in the set you need for the first course, so do not order them both!

Good luck with the exams!

Dear NUTSies,

You have probably already heard, but this July (9th-13th) we will be visiting Dublin! We will be staying at the Kinlay House, a hostel close to the city centre. While staying at the Kinlay House we will visit the Writers Museum, Trinity College and will attend a Literary Pub Crawl. Don’t forget our awesome (optional) hike, a superb quest around Dublin and a NUTS pub quiz, which are the best pub quizzes ever. For those who are just joining us because they want a cheap way to visit Dublin (max. €310) we have organized a free day where everybody can enjoy themselves and do the things they desperately want to!

Do you suddenly feel like joining us? Send an email to nutstrip@gmail.com and sign up before the first of February!

Poetry & Music Night 2017

Posted on Updated on

Dear NUTSies,

It is almost time for our annual Poetry & Music Night! Join us on the 4th of December and enjoy a lovely night filled with poetry and music (duh) and maybe even some surprise acts!

If you don’t consider yourself a rising star in music or poetry, or if are you just looking for a night out to relax, you can simply be a part of the most enthusiastic crowd in history! The event is free of charge, whether you are a member of NUTS or not. But do keep in mind: full = full!

Like last year, the event will be held in the quaint Treslinghuis! It is located at the Klaprooslaan 120. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the Grote Markt, or an 11-minute bus ride (to the bus stop ‘Klaprooslaan’) from the Central Station with lines 61 or 65. Alternatively, you can take the number 3 or 4 bus to Lewenborg or Beijum, get off at Zaagmuldersweg, and walk 8 minutes from there.

Doors open at 19.30 and show starts at 20.00, please be on time! Drinks at the bar can only be paid for with cash.
